Competitive intelligence
Origin: Lat. competĕre intelligentĭa
Information about business competitors’ products, services, and changing markets, that can be used to compare one’s business with others. It should be used to create or discover opportunities and to reduce the risks related to uncertainty in one’s own business planning. A source for keeping up with new approaches to this is the Journal of Competitive Intelligence and Management.
