Control theory
Origin: Fr. contrôle, del gr. θεωρία
A way of explaining the control of a dynamic system so that one can determine how to manage the input through to a desired output. The purpose is often to design a “controller” that can adjust the inputs to a system to achieve a certain output of the system. This can be a natural system, a machine, or a human group.
