Decision tree

A graphical decision support tool representation displaying a tree-like structure of sequential decisions and chance events to help identify a specific decision strategy that improves the chance probability of reaching a goal. Decision trees also sometimes display costs and timing and are the most useful options, risks and a decision-making sequence. Decision trees and decision tables are used for optimizing a solution when there are a limited number of alternatives and a single goal.
