Information warfare
Origin: Lat. de ille informatĭo, -ōnis, germ. *werra
The manipulation of information within decision makers' channels of trusted communications so that they make decisions not in their best interest. This is related to cyber warfare, but different, in that cyber warfare can involve various forms of espionage and can cause damage to information and information systems.
