Multiple regression analysis
Origin: Lat. multĭplus, regressĭo, -ōnis, Gr. ἀνάλυσις
Used to determine the relationships between the dependent variable and a number of independent variables. Frequently this analysis is used to create an equation that explains the behavior of the dependent variable. In multiple regression the correlations among variables is useful to examine. The correlation coefficient describes the degree to which the variation in one variable is related to that in another.
