Parallel processes
Origin: Lat. parallēlos, Gr. Παράλληλος, Lat. pocessus
Those that divide the job of processing of information into several or many parallel paths that accomplish computation simultaneously, so that the overall task can be accomplished in a shorter time or with greater precision. It stands in contrast to serial processing in which all elements of a processing task must be accomplished in series – that is, one task after the other.
