Science roadmap
Origin: Lat.scientĭa, Celtolat. cammīnus, Lat. mappa
A graphical description of a given discipline or field or science laid out in much the same manner as a PERT (Program Evaluation and Review Technique) chart, with developments and sub-elements interconnecting; it demonstrates how progress in one area could trigger downstream highlights gaps in the research agenda and describes relationships among the elements of a science. In future applications science roadmaps may show synergies and cross impacts among scientific disciplines.
