Time frames

Distinct periods of time ranging from picoseconds to millennia and beyond. Useful when particular activities can be matched with appropriate time-frames. At present a much-contested issue in the context of the chronic short-termism of Wester cultures, but holds out the promise of a better articulation between human activities and more appropriate temporal perspectives.
