Anticipatory suffering
Origin: Lat. anticipare sufferre
Mental/emotional pain generated in a person, in the face of what the future may hold. It is about avoiding paradigms or ways of thinking that may affect individually or collectively, especially those coming from prejudices, ignorance and fear. By eliminating such constructs, the mind opens to new possibilities and futures.
