Complex adaptive systems
Origin: Lat. complexus, adaptāre, systēma, Gr. σύστημα
A concept associated with complexity, chaos, and non-linear theories. Futurists tend to believe that those organizations that become more like a complex adaptive system are more likely to survive in an increasingly complex, interdependent, and rapidly changing world. In Nature, it is an organism that can change behavior according to the changes in the environment in order to survive.
