Conserver Society

Was an ambitious nationwide project of the Science Council of Canada in the mid 1970s to change Canada from the suicidal trajectory of continuous economic growth to a society based on conservation and sustainability. Four versions of a Conserver Society were developed, but the project was ultimately killed by dominant political and economic forces.
