Dynamical systems models
Origin: Gr. δυναμικός, δύναμις.Lat. systēma, Gr. σύστημα, It. Modello, Modǔlus
These equation-based models are designed to simulate real-life physical systems. They are usually deterministic. When solved, these equations forecast the performance of the real-life system they are meant to describe. In simulations the models often evolve 1) to ordered patterns even though they begin with random conditions, 2) to cyclic patterns which repeat patterns ad infinitum, 3) to a static condition or 4) in some cases to random or divergent patterns that are perpetually non-repetitive and unpredictable.
