Futures metaphors
Origin: Lat. futūrus, metaphŏra, Gr. μεταφορά, traslación
Metaphors used in futures discourse. For example, foresight, the 'future landscape' etc. Such metaphors can actively shape the discourse. When used consciously they are arguably among its most powerful symbolic resources.
