Narrative analysis
Origin: Lat. narratīvus , gr. ἀνάλυσις
Deriving insight and meaning from qualitative, often fragmented, oral or written statements made by experts or non-experts. In Delphi studies, for example, participants are urged to provide reasons for their quantitative judgments; the narratives that they produce to explain their choices can be analyzed to find hidden themes and threads of reasoning that run through their texts.
