Was a nonprofit research and educational organization founded in 1977 by Clement Bezold, Alvin Toffler, and Jim Dator. IAF aided organizations and individuals more wisely to choose and create their preferred futures. It developed the concept and focus of "anticipatory democracy" and "aspirational futures". Alternative Futures Associates was a for-profit arm of IAF. Both closed their doors in 2019.
