Transdisciplinary
Origin: Lat. trans – disciplīna
Intellectual posture and attitude of a researcher who stands at once between, beyond and across scientific disciplines. Transdisciplinarity manifests itself between disciplines, across different disciplines, and beyond any discipline. Its purpose is the understanding of the present world, of which one of the imperatives is the unity of knowledge.
