Transformational Society

Is the fourth of the four generic alternative images of the future. On the analogy of a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly, or flowing water into ice or steam, while a transformational future emerges from forces from the past and present, it is qualitatively different from them and cannot be "predicted" on the basis of its present forms and operations. It comes in two forms: High Tech and High Spirit Transformation, the former stressing the mutative power of technologies and the latter a spiritual basis.
