Trust interval or certainty (accuracy) interval
Origin: Lat. confidāre, Intervallum, certus intervalum
Refers to the variation in the nature and frequency of events, disturbances, and developments that impact upon a system. Changes in orderly development. The events and disturbances of concern may arise in the external environment or from internal dynamics (e.g. chaos) and include such developments as natural catastrophes, accidents, and random noise.
