Experiential futures

Experiential Ethnographic Futures (EXF) is a prospective design-based approach to increasing the accessibility, variety, and depth of available images of the future. Its pioneers and leading exponents are Stuart Candy, Jake Dunagan, and Kelly Kornet. The model draws from Robert Textor's anticipatory anthropology and its intersections with design language. The procedure includes as key stages the mapping; the generation of alternative long-term images; the transformation of these images into tangible and immersive experiences; the staging of scenarios for interaction with the public; and the iteration of the mapping based on the results of the whole process.
