Futures horizon
Origin: Lat. futūrus, horĭzon, -ontis, Gr. ὁρίζων, -οντος
The time in the future to which forecasts are made, usually defined as the time in the future which current decisions may affect. Alt: A sub-set of the futuribles at the synoptic distance from the hypothetical present equal to the dimension of the futures space; the synoptic distance of the forecast horizon from the present.
