Informatics

Informatics is the science and practice of the management of information through the use and application of computer and statistical techniques. Also, this science studies the structure and interaction of information systems. It can be used as a compound with other disciplines in order to denote a specialization in the information of such disciplines, e.g. bio-informatics.
