Reinforcing feedback
Origin: Lat. relĕvans, -antis, arbor, -ŏris
An amplifying or enhancing feedback loop, also known as a "positive feedback loop" because it reinforces the direction of change. It may have positive or negative effects and since it is positive feedback, it moves the system toward instability.
