World Future Society

American organization founded by journalist Edward Cornish and located in Washington D. C. The world's largest futures organization with some 35,000 members. Publishes The Futurist, Futures Research Quarterly and Future Survey, as well as conference volumes. Holds regular high-quality conferences, mainly in the USA. Has a professional membership category. Provides a valuable, non-partisan arena for considering futures issues and promoting professional activities For example, support for foresight implementation at the State.
