Global Millennium Prize

The Global Millennium Prize is an Internet-based contest addressed to all young students and teachers in the world. It has three levels: 1. For Secondary Students, 2. For University Students and 3. For Teachers. This Prize: Mission is to awaken their foresight awareness for addressing the 15 Global Challenges and achieving the eight UN Millennium Development Goals; Vision is to foster future-oriented leaders – both today and for the longer-term future and Goals are to stimulate their creativity, social responsibility and world solidarity. The participants learn how to present their projects and how to deal constructively with the 15 Global Challenges of the Millennium: 1. Sustainable development. 2. Water. 3. Population and resources. 4. Democratization. 5. Global long term policymaking. 6. Globalization of Information technology. 7. Rich-Poor Gap. 8. Health. 9. Decision-making Capacities. 10. Conflict Resolution. 11. Improving the Status of Women. 12. Transnational Organized Crime. 13. Energy. 14. Science and Technology. 15. Global Ethics. These Global Challenges are linked to the UN's eight Millennium Development Goals and through this Prize the participants also stimulate their sense of social responsibility and world solidarity. Its Website is very successful and has been consulted by millions of people from 110 countries in the world. This Prize was created and promoted worldwide by the Nodo Mexicano.
