Social change
Origin: Lat socialis. Lat. tardío cambium, Galo cambion
Examines change from the perspective of individual needs. Social change is a general term which refers not only to the change in the nature, social institutions, behavior or relations of a society or community, but also to the advocacy for positive change in a society. The term is used when studying history, economies and politics; it also includes concepts such as globalization, economic growth, development, democratization and paradigm shift when tracking the causes of change in any of the above areas.
